Bulls waive guard Jaden Ivey after anti-gay comments

The Chicago Bulls waived guard Jaden Ivey for conduct detrimental to the team Monday, hours after he posted a lengthy video rant on social media about religion and other topics that included anti-gay sentiments.

Ivey has gone live on his Instagram account more frequently in the past week, posting at least three lengthy videos after he was shut down for the rest of the season by the team because of injury last Thursday. On Monday morning, he called out the NBA for promoting Pride Month, saying it celebrates "unrighteousness."

Mark Cuban regrets who he sold the Mavericks to in 2023: 'I made a lot of mistakes in the process'

Mark Cuban doesn’t have regrets about his decision to sell his majority stake in the Dallas Mavericks.

Whom he sold to, however, is a different story.

Cuban revealed this week that, after a tumultuous few years following the sale, he would rather not have sold the Mavericks to Miriam Adelson and her son-in-law, Patrick Dumont. Cuban purchased the Mavericks in 2000 for about $285 million.

I don’t regret selling. I regret who I sold to. I made a lot of mistakes in the process, and I’ll leave it at that.”

But they have gone 3-5-2 in their past 10 games and 8-15-4 since Jan. 19, and are four points ahead of the Los Angeles Kings, the first team below the cut line in the Western Conference.

MLB’s New Automated Umpire System Hits Fast—While Exposing Umpire Calls

Most people in and around MLB expected the automated ball-strike (ABS) challenge system to have a big impact on the game, but it’s becoming immediately clear just how much so.

Just four days into the league’s 2026 regular season, ABS has become a widespread hit. In 35 games played, there have been 124 total challenges, 67 of them (54%) resulting in overturned calls. Pitchers and catchers so far have combined to have both a greater number of challenges and a better success rate than hitters, but those figures are expected to vary considerably on a day-to-day basis.

NFL owners voice support for 18-game schedule but with caveats

The NFL regular-season schedule expanding to 18 games seems to be inevitable, not a question of “if” but “when.”

At the 2026 NFL owners meetings in Phoenix, several team owners have expressed support for another game being added to the schedule. But they want to see additional measures taken with that extra game.

For instance, New England Patriots team owner Robert Kraft would like another bye week added to the schedule, while the preseason gets trimmed from three games to two. He also believes every team should play an international game.
